New Delhi: In a major joint operation, the Special Cell of Delhi Police and the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad have arrested a suspected ISIS operative. The accused has been identified as Rizwan Ahmed.According to sources, Ahmed was apprehended from Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh. Investigating agencies claim that he had been associated with the terrorist organisation ISIS since 2015 and was allegedly handling recruitment activities for the group within India.Security forces recovered materials used for making explosives, along with several incriminating documents. Cops are now working to trace his network and identify other individuals who may have been in contact with himAhmed had previously been prisoned in 2015 at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai in connection with terror-related activities.
