Patna: CPI(ML) state secretary Kunal on Saturday appealed to the Grand Alliance partners in Bihar to organise a joint meeting to decide on holding joint protests and demonstrations across the state over the govt’s failure to address the LPG crisis, alleged growing violence against women and the recent increase in electricity charges.Kunal has written to all the Grand Alliance partners.The letter signed by CPI(ML)’s state secretary Kunal was personally handed over to the alliance partners by the party’s two senior functionaries K D Yadav and Kamlesh. The five-party Grand Alliance comprises the RJD, Congress, CPI(ML), CPI-M and CPI, while India Inclusive Party (IIP) led by I P Gupta is also aligned with it.
“Our party’s state president Mangani Lal Mandal has received the letter from the CPI(ML). The proposal will be discussed by our party’s other senior leaders to take a formal decision on it,” state RJD spokesman Chitranjan Gagan said, adding the proposal is “good.”On the other hand, state Congress spokesman Rajesh Rathorre, welcoming the proposal, said, “The leaders of the grand alliance partners should sit together for a consultative meeting on the proposal and also take a concrete decision on it.”“The joint campaign and protests on the issues raised will be welcomed by the people, and it will also make the govt act to solve the problems faced by them,” Rathorre said.
