NAMAKKAL: Condemning welfare politics centred on “freebies,” Naam Tamilar Katchi chief coordinator Seeman on Friday said the word “free” should be eliminated from public life.Campaigning in Namakkal town for party candidates Praveen Kumar (Namakkal), Ponnumani (Senthamangalam) and Sasikala (Rasipuram), Seeman accused successive govts of burdening the state with debt. He questioned the value of cash handouts, arguing that dignity and self-respect mattered more than receiving money for free.He alleged that politics had long been buried under bribery and corruption and called for sweeping political change. “Current regime should be removed and urged voters to use the election to bring in a people’s govt,” he said.Seeman said his party would offer people a chance to transform their lives through self-respect rather than dependence.
