Jaipur: A 31-year-old man was found murdered Thursday morning, his semi-burnt body stuffed in a plastic sack and dumped in an empty plot near Nivaru Puliya in Kardhani police station area, to destroy evidence and conceal identity. Police have identified the deceased as Sheikh Sahan, a labourer from West Bengal. Additional DCP (West) Rajesh Kumar Gupta said it was also the victim’s birthday on Thursday. Investigators said the accused killed the man at another location, packed the body in a large plastic sack and transported it to the isolated plot under the cover of darkness before dumping it there late at night. In a bid to erase all traces, the accused allegedly poured a flammable chemical on the victim’s face and body and set it on fire. However, the body did not burn completely, leaving behind crucial evidence that has now become central to the investigation. The crime came to light around 6.30am when passers-by spotted the sack in the vacant plot and alerted the police control room. Police from Kardhani station rushed to the spot.tnn
