Varanasi: The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF)arrested two drug peddlers with a consignment of 145 grams of hydroponic ganja worth Rs 10.45 lakhs late on Wednesday. ACP Bhelupur Gaurav Kumar said that on receiving inputs, a team of ANTF raided the culvert in Ravindrapuri area late on Wednesday and arrested two persons identified as Aditya Singh (26) of Gorakhpur and Vasu Kedia (28) of Bhelupur. Apart from 145 grams of hydroponic ganja, the cops also seized Rs 3,300 cash and two mobile phones from them.During interrogation, the arrested duo confessed that Aditya used to procure the hydroponic ganja from Gorakhpur. After packaging, he along with Vasu used to sell the same to drug addicts in Varanasi. In view of the high footfall of tourists and youths at the ghats, they used to operate in close vicinity of ghats.
