Nagpur: Two unidentified assailants attacked two men with stones near Khaparkheda late Tuesday night, leaving one critically injured with severe head trauma.According to a complaint by Tanzeer Sheikh (28), a hotel owner from Koradi, he learnt about the incident around 12.30am and rushed to the spot. He found both victims unconscious with grievous head injuries and immediately shifted them to Mayo Hospital in Nagpur.One of the injured has been identified as Feroze Kumar Gulmar Sheikh, a resident of Uppalwadi. The other, Prashant Kumbhare, remains in the intensive care unit with serious injuries.The attackers fled after the assault. Khaparkheda police have registered a case of attempt to murder and launched a search for the accused.Police are scanning CCTV footage and questioning local residents to ascertain the motive and identify the assailants.
