Daltonganj: The self-enumeration exercise for 2027 Census will take place from May 1 to 15 in the state, officials said.“Thereafter, the Directorate of Census Operations, under the supervision of the office of Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India will start house listing from May 16 to June 14,” said district census officer Kundan Kumar, who is also Palamu additional collector.
He said, “Self-enumeration is the process where an individual or household completes and submits his/her own survey form rather than being collected by a census taker (enumerator). The self-enumeration done digitally has to be then verified by the designated enumerator.”“An individual or household has to log into a dedicated platform, mark the desired location and answer 33 questions,” he added.
