Chennai: The state board exams for classes VI to IX for govt, aided, corporation and private matriculation schools begins today with the Tamil paper.Officials said that 24.2 lakh students will take the exam at more than 30,000 schools across TN. The exam, which will be held in the forenoon for classes VI and VIII and in the afternoon for classes VII and IX, will end on April 16 with the science paper.The exams will begin on April 4 for classes IV and V, and April 8 for classes I-III. While classes I-III will take exams for three subjects, classes VI-IX will have six subjects. This year, the exam dates have been advanced for these classes in view of the election.
