Nagpur: With more than 600 examination results still pending, National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Saturday alleged serious administrative lapses and irregularities at Nagpur University, claiming that the delay is affecting the academic future of thousands of students.Addressing a press conference, NSUI representatives accused the vice-chancellor of failing to address repeated complaints and of “misleading students and the media” instead of taking corrective action. The students’ body said multiple letters highlighting grievances were sent between Dec 2025 and March 2026, but none received a response.Among the major demands, NSUI called for an immediate inquiry into alleged illegal activities within the university campus. It also sought a fair investigation into the eligibility and experience of Coempt Eduteck Pvt Ltd, the agency appointed for examination-related work. While an inquiry committee was initially promised, it was not constituted, the organisation said.NSUI demanded regular audits of university funds and fees collected from students to prevent misuse and potential financial irregularities. It pointed out that several key posts — including pro-VC, heads of departments, faculty and other administrative positions — are vacant, affecting governance, academic functioning.
