Madikeri: A video of a person dressed up as a god and behaving inappropriately has gone viral on social media, which has led to objections from many.A complaint has been filed with the Napoklu police station alleging that this is an act of hurting religious sentiments. The complaint mentions the involvement of six people in this mischievous act. Two days ago, a non-Hindu marriage took place in Emmemadu village. At this ceremony, the groom allegedly dressed up as a Koragajja god, while some others behaved in a derogatory manner.Right-wing activists Radhakrishna Rai, along with right-wing organisations, have lodged a complaint and demanded action against the accused.Accordingly, a case has been registered against six people under section 196 (1) BNS at Napoklu police station and an investigation has been launched, said SP Bindu Mani. The Kodagu district police is keeping a close eye on social media platforms and will take appropriate legal action against those who spread false news posts with malicious intent of disturbing communal harmony, the SP warned.
