Bhilwara: A cyber criminal posing as Union home secretary Govind Mohan, who tried to lure BJP’s Bhilwara MP Damodar Agrawal with the promise of a berth in the state cabinet, was arrested in Delhi Sunday. The incident goes back to March 15, when Agrawal received a WhatsApp call from an unknown number from someone introducing himself as Union home secretary Govind Mohan. The caller said he had been tasked by Union home minister Amit Shah to gather information in preparation for a reshuffle of the Rajasthan cabinet. To that end, Agarwal was asked to share the mobile numbers of all MLAs from Bhilwara district, police said.Suspecting something amiss, Agarwal contacted the real Union home secretary over the phone, who denied making any such call. The MP proceeded to file a complaint with Bhilwara police the next day. tnn
