Gumla: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two youths in Gumla district on Friday night, police said on Sunday.The girl, a student of Class 8, was returning home along with her friends after attending a Ram Navami mela in a nearby village on Friday afternoon when the incident took place.When they were coming back, suddenly weather turned worse and a storm hit. While her friends managed to escape, the girl slipped on a muddy road and sustained injuries and therefore lagged behind.Meanwhile, two youths riding a motorcycle offered her to take her home. Instead, they took her to a lonely place and raped her in turn.She somehow reached home later and narrated her ordeal to her family members, who filed a case against the two men.“The girl managed to recall the name of one of the accused whose name she heard when she was with them. They will soon be arrested,” police said.
