CHENNAI: AIADMK has announced its third list of candidates for the 2026 assembly elections on Sunday.Former ministers B Valarmathi and S Gokula Indira will contest from Thousand Lights and Anna Nagar, respectively.P Santhanakrishnan will be the AIADMK candidate for the Kolathur constituency, where Chief Minister MK Stalin will be contesting.Aadi Rajaram, who lost to MK Stalin in the previous elections in 2021, will contest from the Chepauk–Triplicane seat. He will be facing Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi, who is the DMK candidate for this seat in 2026.Porkodi Armstrong, wife of BSP leader Armstrong, who was murdered last year, has been given the Thiru Vi Ka Nagar ticket in Chennai.As expected, Virugambakkam, Velachery, T Nagar and RK Nagar have been allotted to Virugai Ravi, MK Ashok, T Nagar Sathya and RS Rajesh, respectively.The opposition party had already announced candidates for 150 seats in two batches.
