Bhilwara: A man allegedly shot dead his uncle in Awada village under the Panchewar police station area of Tonk district Saturday after an argument over keeping his lover as a second wife at home.Tonk SP Rajesh Kumar Meena said the accused, Suresh Bawaria (25), was married with four children but brought his lover home, whom he wanted to make his second wife. This action of his was objected to by his uncle, Ramesh Bawaria (35), following which a verbal altercation broke out between the nephew and uncle.Meena said that in the middle of the argument, the nephew allegedly fired at his uncle with a gun kept in the house, after which he fled from the spot. Family members rushed Ramesh to Malpura hospital, where he died.Based on a report filed by the deceased’s family, police have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the accused. Teams have been formed to trace him, and investigators are also probing whether others were involved.The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem.Meena said the firearm used in the accident was a licensed gun, and the family used it to guard their crops from Nilgai (blue bulls). He added that the exact motive behind the murder would become clear after the accused is arrested.
