Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday provided financial assistance to four shopkeepers affected by a fire incident in Raiganj earlier this month. The CM handed over cheques worth a total of Rs 14 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the victims during a meeting on Gorakhnath temple premises. The fire, which broke out on Mar 10, caused significant damage to shops as well as household belongings of the families affected.Those who received assistance include Harishchandra Gupta and Amit Kumar Gupta, who received Rs 5 lakh each and Yuvraj Gupta and Brajesh Mani Gupta received Rs 2 lakh each.During the interaction, the chief minister assured the victims of all possible support and expressed concern over their losses. The aid aims to provide immediate relief and help them resume their livelihoods.Mayor Manglesh Srivastava and MLA Vipin Singh were also present on the occasion.
