Varanasi: Out of jail on bail, a murder accused was stabbed to death by his rivals in Jalalpur area of Jaunpur district on Wednesday evening. During investigation, police got clue about location of two accused of his murder and caught them following an exchange of fire, late Wednesday night.After inspecting the incident site early Thursday morning, Jaunpur SP Kunwar Anupam Singh said Ashish Chauhan, who was recently released from jail , was murdered at a country liquor shop on Wednesday evening. When Jalalpur police station in charge, Gajanand Chaubey and his team were alerted regarding movement of the accused on Bhaupur-Trilochan Road, they cordoned off the road near Oaina village and tried to intercept the motorbike-borne miscreants, who opened fire. When policemen retaliated, both miscreants suffered bullet injuries in the leg and were arrested.Police seized two country-made pistols, cartridges, a motorcycle and two knives used in killing Akash, police rushed the injured criminals, Shivshankar Chauhan (26) and Dhananjay Chauhan (20) of Sanghaipur, to hospital. Ashish was accused of killing Rohit Chauhan (21), a friend of Dhananjay and Shivshankar and went to jailand had come out recently on bail. tnn
