Bhubaneswar: Odisha native Bijoy Kumar Panda, IRS, who assumed additional charge as director general of income tax (Investigation) for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha in Jan, visited Bhubaneswar for the first time on Thursday after taking over the role. He is also holding the additional charge of DGIT (Investigation) for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka and Goa.During his visit, Panda held a review meeting with officers of the central charges and the investigation wing of the Odisha region. He also interacted with the principal director of Income Tax (Investigation), Bhubaneswar, and other senior department officers. A senior IRS officer, Panda earlier served in key positions across MP, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Odisha, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
