Panaji: Voting for the Ponda byelection via postal ballot papers, for senior citizens above the age of 85 and persons with disability marked on the electoral rolls who have been classified as absentee voters by the Election Commission of India, will begin from March 29. Separate polling teams will visit voters’ residences between 9 am and 5 pm between March 29 and March 31. The rest of the voters will vote on April 9. Electors on election duty, including senior magistrates, flying squad personnel, additional returning officers and additional election returning officers, police, Goa IDV and home guards on election duty who opted to vote via postal ballot will have to cast their vote between March 29 and March 31 at the facilitation centre at the Court Room, Office of Mamlatdar of Ponda.
