Hazaribag: A huge quantity of country-made liquor besides raw materials used for brewing mahua and java-based alcohol were seized and two persons arrested late Wednesday night during raids conducted across 52 locations as a pre-emptive action against illegal liquor trade ahead of Ram Navami celebrations, police said.Hazaribag SP Anjani Anjan said, “Six teams were formed to conduct simultaneous raids at 52 locations covering hotels, grocery stores, and other suspected hideouts, including several eateries under the Korra police station area. The seized materials, including 855 lts of mahua liquor, 3,540 lts of java mahua, 225 lts of spurious Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL), were destroyed on the spot. Also, 10 unauthorised distillation units were demolished. Two individuals were also arrested.”Meanwhile, the district administration has set up high security cover to ensure law and order during the festivities. “Religious processions will be covered under digital surveillance through geo-tagging and GPS tracking. Every procession will be tracked in real time, and its movement will be continuously monitored from the control room. CCTV cameras installed across the city will provide live feeds, enabling authorities to keep a close watch on crowd movement and respond swiftly to any situation,” the SP said.The administration has analysed procession routes using Google Earth mapping and identified sensitive points. A total of 51 medical camps have been set up along key stretches, 10 bike ambulances have been deployed for quick response during emergencies, supplementing regular 108 ambulance services stationed at strategic locations, he added.Hazaribag municipal corporation will station 34 water tankers along major procession routes to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply besides modular toilets, urinals and community sanitation
