Nagpur: Ambhora Khurd Zilla Parishad school in Kuhi taluka, Nagpur district, has one post each lying vacant in its Classes 1-5 and Classes 6-8 sections, with a volunteer teacher placed against the lower section vacancy and surplus adjustment proceedings underway for the other, the Maharashtra Legislative Council was informed on Tuesday.MLCs Prasad Lad, Pravin Derekar, Uma Khapre, Chitra Wagh, Niranjan Davkhare, Dr Parinay Fuke and Sadashiv Khot asked whether 26 trainees under the CM Yuva Karyaprasikshan Yojana were placed at the school and whether students of Classes 1-7 were suffering educationally. School education minister Dadadji Bhuse clarified the position.The 26 trainees were made available for ZP schools across Kuhi taluka, not exclusively for Ambhora Khurd school. Their 11-month term has since ended and their services have been concluded. Against the three posts sanctioned for Classes 1-5, one post is vacant. Against the two posts sanctioned for Classes 6-8, one post is also vacant.The volunteer teacher placed against the lower section vacancy is from the ZP census. The 2025-26 sanction process is complete, and redistribution through the surplus adjustment mechanism is in progress. Appointments to both vacant posts will be made through this process.
