Kolkata: NIA is likely to begin its investigation into the Bhangar blast case after the probe was transferred from state police to the central agency.Last Wednesday, a bomb exploded in an abandoned house in South Bamunia village of Chaltaberia late at night. On Thursday morning, ISF panchayat member Abul Khair Molla claimed that four bombs exploded simultaneously, injuring at least two TMC workers. Trinamool, however, denied all allegations.Questions were raised about the source of the bombs and how they were being stockpiled ahead of the assembly elections despite police surveillance. While police collected samples from the site and began their probe, Bhangar MLA and ISF functionary Nawsad Siddique demanded an NIA investigation into the explosion.
