CHENNAI: Chief minister M K Stalin on Thursday wished Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi a speedy recovery after she was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on March 24 with a systemic infection. She is currently undergoing treatment with antibiotics. Expressing concern over her hospitalisation, Stalin wished her “a speedy and complete recovery”. In a post on X, he also said he was confident that “Sonia Gandhi will be back to good health very soon”. The DMK and the Congress are part of the INDIA bloc. In the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the Congress is contesting 28 seats as part of the alliance. Although there were several rounds of intense talks between the two parties, differences were resolved after Stalin reached out to Sonia Gandhi.
