Nagpur: City’s upcoming pugilist Samiksha Singh defeated Pune’s Arya Kondke by a unanimous 5-0 decision to emerge champion in the Maharashtra State U-17 boxing selection trials held at SAI Centre, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.Competing in the 54-57 kg weight class, Samiksha delivered a controlled performance to secure selection in the Maharashtra team for the upcoming seventh U-17 boxing national championship, scheduled to be held in Nagpur from April 5-11.In the semifinal, Samiksha defeated Mumbai boxer Gauraja Mhatre by RSC.Samiksha trains under Ganesh Purohit. Members of the Nagpur District and Nagpur City Boxing Association congratulated Samiksha on her achievement.
