Kanpur: Police arrested two criminals accused of snatching a mangalsutra from a woman civil defence worker and carrying out two robberies in an hour, following an encounter in Mangla Vihar under Chakeri police station area late on Tuesday. One of the accused was shot in the leg during the encounter and admitted to hospital for treatment.The arrested accused were identified as Ehtisham, a resident of Babupurwa, and Riyan, a resident of Kidwai Nagar. Police seized a looted mangalsutra, a country-made pistol, two empty cartridge shells, and a bike from the accused.
