Mandya: Melukote is set to host the Sri Cheluvanarayana Swamy Vairamudi Brahmotsava on Saturday, with police finalising elaborate security and traffic arrangements.Mandya DSP VJ Shobha Rani said a comprehensive deployment has been planned to ensure the safety of devotees. The force will include seven DySPs, 29 police inspectors, 71 SIs, 78 ASIs and 800 head constables and constables. In addition, 75 women personnel, 150 home guards, three KSRPF platoons, five DAR platoons, one quick response team and one anti-sabotage check team will be stationed.To ensure smooth traffic flow, designated parking zones have been identified across the town. Two-wheeler parking has been arranged at 14 locations from Melukote Kanive Cross to Guest House, while 12 locations from Gourikatti Circle to First Grade College have been earmarked for four-wheelers.Four police help desks will function throughout the event for the convenience of devotees.Security surveillance will be maintained through 100 CCTV cameras installed at key locations and three drone cameras deployed for aerial monitoring to prevent any untoward incidents.
