Kolkata: Police arrested a youth, Manoj Kumar, for allegedly attempting to secure a job in the postal department using fake documents after he was detained at a post office in Narkeldanga.The postal department was hiring for Gramin Dak Sevak positions, which did not require an examination. Recruitment was based on merit and exam results.Kumar was called for a job interview after his mark sheet showed good results. During the process, he was asked to sign in both Bengali and English. Officials noticed a significant discrepancy between his signature on the online form and the one he provided in person. When questioned, he gave incoherent answers. Officials accused him of attempting to secure the job using fake mark sheets and documents. He was detained and handed over to cops. A probe is on to determine the source of the fake documents. tnn
