Ahmedabad: The new academic session in CBSE schools begins from April 1, but there are major concerns on the availability of Class 9 textbooks. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has not yet published the revised textbooks. Sources attributed the delay to the ongoing implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework 2023. NCERT has released a draft syllabus online, advising schools to start teaching based on it. It has clarified that textbooks for Classes 10 and 11 will only be revised from the 2027-28 academic year.
