“The initiative will place special focus on youth and first-time voters. A wide range of awareness activities will be organised to educate citizens about voting essentials and underscore the importance of participating in the democratic process,” ECI said.
The main objective is to create a festive and participatory atmosphere around elections, in line with the vision of the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, “Chunav ka Parv, Paschim Bengal ka Garv.”
In addition, a series of campaigns will integrate the rich cultural heritage of West Bengal, including traditional art forms such as Chhau dance, Jatra (folk theatre), and Kalighat painting. Activities will be organised at iconic locations across Kolkata-such as Howrah Bridge and other landmark venues, as well as at prominent sites in districts across the state.
