Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda on Monday targeted Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, alleging that he was acting as a “puppet” of the BJP in Haryana politics.Dhanda referred to the 2016 and 2022 Rajya Sabha elections, claiming that BJP-backed independent candidates won despite the Congress having adequate numbers, and alleged that similar patterns had repeated. He also criticised the reported waiver of Rs 16.50 lakh in penal rent for Hooda’s government accommodation, alleging it indicated a tacit understanding between the BJP and Congress. The AAP leader further claimed that both parties publicly oppose each other but allegedly work to provide mutual political advantage.Dhanda alleged that cross-voting by some Congress MLAs had helped BJP-backed candidates in the past and said such instances reflected internal issues within the opposition. He also claimed that the Congress had not been actively raising public issues in the state in recent times.
