“I do not find any political or ideological difference between JDU and RLD. Both parties are an extension of the socialist ideology of Chaudhary Charan Singh’s Lok Dal. West UP has been part of my earlier political journey. With RLD, I will be able to contribute more to my politics of farmer welfare and also to the NDA than I was doing in Bihar,” Tyagi told ET.
Uttar Pradesh will go to assembly elections in 2027, and Tyagi will now play an active role in the party’s strategy for the upcoming polls.

Tyagi denied any negotiations with the RLD for a Rajya Sabha seat and said that he has joined the party to continue his politics of social and farmer welfare.
