Amritsar: The Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered 7 kg of heroin, and arrested three persons who came to collect the consignment near the Indo-Pak international border. According to sources, BSF troops deployed in the area of Basantar Border Out Post detected suspicious drone activity late at Thursday night. The movement was first picked up through a combination of human surveillance and advanced technical monitoring systems. Acting immediately, BSF personnel activated their anti-drone mechanism along the border. Following coordinated tracking, the troops intercepted the consignment that was dropped by the drone in the border area. During the operation, three smugglers who arrived to retrieve the narcotics were apprehended on the spot.Officials said the heroin, estimated to be worth crores in the international market, was seized, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the wider network involved in the smuggling attempt.
