Prayagraj: As the Yogi Adityanath govt in Uttar Pradesh completed nine years, minister Swatantra Dev Singh on Friday said that the state has forged a new definition of development, trust, and good governance. The minister claimed that today, across the state — and specifically in Prayagraj — law and order has been significantly improved as daughters and women are moving forward with renewed confidence. He said the state is rapidly progressing with service, security, and investment opportunities, boasting an extensive expressway network, efficient governance, and top ease of doing business rankings. In the past nine years, both the condition and the trajectory of Uttar Pradesh have undergone a complete transformation, he said.Under the able leadership of the chief minister, an atmosphere of peace has been established throughout the state, and our state has successfully become a riot-free state. The welfare of even those individuals residing at the furthest margins of society has been ensured, and they are now becoming equal partners in the mainstream of development and are leading happy, prosperous lives. He emphasised that, under the double engine govt, comprehensive, all-round development has taken place across the state. The construction of highways and roads has not only resulted in significant time savings but has also accelerated the pace of developmental activities. The construction of four-lane and six-lane roads, bridges, and Road Over Bridges (ROBs) connecting Prayagraj to Kashi, Mathura, Chitrakoot, and other districts has provided the common citizen with relief from traffic congestion while simultaneously facilitating smoother and easier travel. Moreover, the construction work on the Ganga Expressway—which connects Prayagraj to Meerut—as well as the Ram Van Gaman Marg, is nearing completion.“Through the pillars of good governance, transparency, and various public welfare schemes and policies, a new era is being ushered in across the state. To provide financial assistance to farmers, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is being implemented. Efforts are underway—facilitated through SHGs—to empower women by helping them become financially independent (lakhpatis) and to elevate the overall standard of human life,” he said.
