Prayagraj: A 32-year-old constable, Kripal Singh, ended his life by hanging himself from ceiling at his rented accommodation in Rajapur area under the limits of Cantt police station.A senior cop told TOI that circumstantial evidences indicated that the constable died on Wednesday night. Locals alerted the police on Friday after noticing a foul smell from the room. The body was sent for postmortem.A resident of Khairagarh (Firozabad), Singh was recruited in the police force in 2019 and was currently posted at reserve police line. The reason behind the suicide was still unknown. However, initial police investigations suggest that a family dispute could be a cause behind the suicide. No suicide note was recovered from the site. The case id being investigated.
