Srinagar, Mar 20: The tele-health services in Jammu and Kashmir that include Tele-Medicine, Tele-ICU, Tele Radiology, Tele-X-Ray, and Tele-CT Scan across hospitals are being expanded, the government has said in a report.
This has been stated by J&K Government in its fresh Economic Survey Report 2025-26, stating that the health sector in the Union Territory is embracing digital transformation to enhance healthcare accessibility, quality, and efficiency.
“Through E-Sanjeevani, Jammu and Kashmir has conducted over 12.05 lakh telemedicine consultations, providing critical access to remote areas,” the report said.
It stated that tele-health services that include Tele-Medicine, Tele-ICU, TeleRadiology, Tele-X-Ray, and Tele-CT-Scan are being expanded across health institutions, ensuring specialized care reaches every corner of the region.
“Innovative digital platforms like the Drug and Vaccine Distribution Management System (DVDMS) streamline online management of medicines and vaccines, while the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) digitizes health records for improved service delivery,” the report said.
As per figures, till January 8, 2026, 107.88 lakh ABHA health IDs have been created, 96.18 lakh health records linked, 100% of public health facilities registered on the Health Facility Registry (HFR), 82% of doctors and 83% of nurses registered on the Healthcare Professional Registry (HPR), and 96.92 lakh online QR-based tokens generated.
The report said that these platforms also enable efficient Government-to-Citizen (G2C) and Government-to-Business (G2B) service delivery, reflecting J&K’s commitment in leveraging technology for better health outcomes.
“SEHAT APP has been launched to bring health care services and patients under one digital platform. 15.10 lakh users have been registered so far with thousands of them availing various services,” it said.
The digital platforms like SEHAT APP, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, teleradiology, Tele-MANAS, e-sanjeevani etc. have enabled to avail the services of experts available on digital networks and provide quality health care.
The ESR said that 100% families have been registered and 87.64 lakhs Ayushman Golden card issued under “AB-PMJAY-SEHAT SCHEME”.
