T’puram: Sreekaryam police on Thursday arrested history-sheeter Rajesh, alias ‘Puthenpalam Rajesh’, who was absconding.According to sources, Rajesh, of Vanchiyoor, initially surrendered before Petta police and was later handed over to Sreekaryam police, which took him into custody. His arrest comes days after an order was issued against him under Kaapa Sections 3(1) read with 13(2)(1) on Monday, following continued involvement in criminal activities.Police said Rajesh is a repeat offender with around 50 cases registered against him across various stations within the city police limits. Despite previous actions, he allegedly continued to engage in criminal activities, posing a threat to public safety and disrupting normal life in several areas.Following the Kaapa order, police launched efforts to trace him, even issuing a public alert seeking information about his whereabouts.
