Mysuru: Automotive Axles, in collaboration with Apollo BGS Hospitals of the city, completed 19 club foot correction surgeries for children from underserved communities.The surgeries were supported under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of Automotive Axles Ltd and Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, which committed to help 20 surgeries for children affected by club foot.Automotive Axles president and whole-time director Nagaraj Gargeshwari, medical officer Dr Praphul Anjan H, Apollo Hospitals senior vice-president and unit head NG Bharateesha Reddy, beneficiary children, and their parents were present.Paediatric orthopaedic surgeon Dr Shreyas Alva, who played a key role in performing the surgeries, was felicitated by Nagaraj.Speaking on the occasion, Nagaraj said true progress is measured not just by business success, but by the positive impact we create in society. “Seeing these children take confident steps towards a healthier future is deeply fulfilling for all of us. We remain committed to such meaningful partnerships that bring quality healthcare within reach for underserved communities,” he said.Parents, who spoke on the occasion, said that they were afraid that there might not be a solution for the club foot challenge faced by their children. “This initiative will be a life-changing intervention for families and beneficiaries,” they said.
