Jaipur: Rajasthan United FC registered a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Real Kashmir FC to jump to the top of the table in the Indian Football League.It was once again the brilliance of Amadou Soukouna which propelled the Jaipur-based team post back-to-back wins at the Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium here on Tuesday.The second successive win by the home team took their points tally to seven from four games, helping them surge ahead of Sreenidi Deccan, who have six points in the ten-team IFL.The decisive moment came just before halftime, as Amadou Soukouna found the back of the net in the 45th minute plus added time, giving Rajasthan United FC a vital lead heading into the break.Soukouna, who had scored a brace in RUFC’s thrilling 3-2 win over Namdhari on Friday, capitalised on a well-organised attack before tapping the ball into the left corner of the goal, giving no chance to Real Kashmir goalkeeper. The Frenchman’s outstanding performance also earned him the ‘player of the match’ award.The team displayed strong defensive discipline and composure in the second half to maintain their advantage and secure all three points.Head coach Vikrant Sharma was jubilant after a second straight win in a week.“It was a well-earned win. The players executed the game plan effectively, especially in maintaining defensive solidity after taking the lead.
