Surat: A 25-year-old man allegedly murdered his 19-year-old wife in broad daylight in Rander area on Tuesday, police said.The accused, identified as Sarfaraz Khan, has been arrested. He was reportedly upset over his wife, Pooja Devi, speaking to a man known as Naresh alias Prem, leading to frequent quarrels between the couple.According to police, the couple, who are from Bihar, married two years ago after meeting during a catering job. They were living near Sosyo Circle in the city.After a fight, Devi went to Naresh’s residence at Pavitra Residency in Rander. In the afternoon, Khan reached the area and allegedly stabbed her on a road near the residential complex.She sustained serious wounds and died on the spot.Police said the couple had been arguing for the past few days. A case of murder has been registered at Rander police station.
