Mumbai: Actress Nimisha Nair in a social media post said two unidentified men on a bike chased her after the aggregator cab she was travelling in overtook them early Tuesday in Kherwadi, Bandra East.In her Instagram post, she stated: “At around 4:50 am near the Kherwadi flyover, these two possibly drunk, aggressive hooligans decided to teach my Uber driver a ‘lesson’ for overtaking them. There are cameras all over the Western Express Highway to verify this. They tried to block our way on a no-stop highway and eventually brought their scooter to a halt in front of us in the middle of the highway. They threatened my driver in rage, and used abusive words, tried to forcibly pull the doors open, and asked me to roll down the windows.”She added they did not open the windows for safety reasons. “We obviously did none of that on account of our safety, because he clearly came to hit the driver. This harassment and aggression continued in the middle of the highway with multiple witnesses before they realised I was taking a video. They then attempted to take a fake picture of my car before leaving the spot,” she said.Kherwadi police said they contacted Nair, but she was at work and told them she would get in touch with the police later.Nair also wrote: “This is my second such incident of this year. Previously, another similar incident happened in Colaba on the 1st of January and we immediately went and filed an FIR. I didn’t feel the need to post about it on social media because I felt I had done my job, even though I did have video-graphic evidence. But today, I don’t have time to physically go to a police station as it is time consuming and I have a very packed day, but I am going to file a physical complaint soon. I tried to file an online complaint in the Mumbai police website, but there was a server error.”
