Coimbatore: Three people, including a minor in conflict with the law, were arrested on Monday, for murdering their friend in a drunken brawl near Karumathampatti in the district on Saturday night.The arrested have been identified as Chote Lal Nag, 23, Dinesh Nag, 19, and a 15-year-old boy, all from West Singhbhum in Jharkhand. They murdered Narayan Hembram, 33, also from Jharkhand. His body was found in a vacant plot near Kaniyur on Sunday. “Investigation revealed that Chote Lal was interested in marrying one of Narayan’s relatives. But Narayan refused the proposal. When an altercation erupted between them on Saturday, the trio stabbed Narayan with a knife,” said a police officer with Karumathampatti station. All three were produced before a court. While the two men were remanded in judicial custody, the minor boy was sent to an observation home.
