Prayagraj: Police, on Monday, arrested a fraudster, Surendra Saroj (30), a resident of Ugaipur in Pratapgarh district, for cheating people by exchanging ATM cards in the name of helping them. Cops also seized 46 ATM cards, Rs 24,000 cash, a laptop, a mobile and two bikes from his possession.The accused used to wait for its victims inside ATM kiosks and noted the ATM pins while they made transactions. In the name of helping them, he used to exchange cards and later withdraw money from their accounts.On March 11, the accused withdrew Rs 34,880 from the account of a woman at a nationalised bank ATM booth in Dehlupur area, following which a case was registered. Cops are looking for his accomplice, Aryan, a resident of Harnapur. tnn
