Jaipur: Rajasthan govt said Sunday commercial LPG cylinder supply will normalise in phases within the next seven to 10 days, seeking to calm fears over reported disruptions and urging consumers not to panic.State food and civil supplies minister Sumit Godara told TOI the improvement was expected after a telephonic conversation between CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and Union petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri.“The union minister has promised us that supply of commercial cylinders will normalise in phases within the next seven to 10 days. The union govt principally agreed to maintain a steady supply of cylinders at all state-run and private educational institutions and hospitals, paying guest facilities and Annapurna Rasoi kitchens from Monday. In the next two phases, the union govt will normalize supply of cylinders to the industries and hotels and restaurants,” Godara said.Godara said there was no issue with the supply of domestic cylinders and CNG for automobiles in the state, adding that the maximum waiting period for domestic LPG cylinders in Rajasthan was currently four days.“We have opened helpline numbers for consumers across the state. Until now, we have not received a genuine complaint where any domestic consumer did not receive cylinders at home within four days after booking. There are complaints about queues in front of CNG filling stations. But that is nothing new, even before the crisis started the situation was the same. A section of opposition is trying to malign the double engine govt and unnecessary triggering panic among common residents,” Godara added.
