Chandigarh: The 3-day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) concluded with resolutions on the expansion of organisational work, greater activism of the virtuous force of society in the national interest, and social harmony. The Sangh’s Sarkaryavah, Dattatreya Hosabale, on Sunday interacted with journalists and urged them to propagate and promote green cover and the protection of the environment. He informed that there was notable expansion in organisational work over the past year. The number of Sangh shakhas increased by approximately 6,000 to more than 88,000, and the number of locations also increased to more than 55,000. Along with this, the number of weekly milans and mandalis also grew. The expansion of organisational work should also be seen in the context that Sangh shakhas are being operated in Andaman, Arunachal Pradesh, Leh, and remote tribal areas as well. This organisational expansion can be clearly seen in the centenary year programmes of the Sangh. In the Hindu Sammelan in Andaman, more than 13,000 people from 9 islands participated, with the presence of Sarsanghchalak ji. Similarly, in a state with low population density like Arunachal Pradesh, more than 37,000 people participated in 21 Swadharma Sammelans. Dattatreya Hosabale added that along with organisational expansion, the Sangh continuously worked for quality enhancement in society. It is important to inspire society towards positive change through Panch Parivartan. “Bharatiya or Hindutva is not merely an idea but a way of life, and through it, quality should expand in society. With this objective, it is necessary to unite the virtuous force of society and channelise the Power of Good in the national interest,” he said. Sangh swayamsevaks organised more than 2,000 programmes across the country on the occasion of the 350th year of the sacrifice of Guru Shri Teg Bahadur ji, in which more than 7 lakh people participated. Similarly, the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram was also celebrated with enthusiasm. He said that in the coming year, programmes are planned on the occasion of the 650th Prakatya Varsh of Sant Shiromani Ravidas ji Maharaj. While sharing information about the regular training camps of the Sangh for the coming year, Dattatreya informed that a total of 96 training camps will be conducted, including camps in 11 regions and 1 in Nagpur. In response to a question, the RSS leader said that to end caste-based discrimination in society, the media should also come forward and stop caste-based assessment of voter numbers in any election. In the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha meeting, it was resolved that, along with the expansion of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, decentralisation of the organisational structure was also discussed from the perspective of quality and ease of work. By the next Pratinidhi Sabha meeting, the idea of creating Sambhags in place of Prants was considered. After its implementation, there is a possibility of more than 80 Sambhags being formed in place of the current 46 Prants. MSID:: 129589549 413 |
