Patna: Former union minister and Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday jointly flagged off a new passenger train between Patna Junction and Thawe along with senior JD(U) leader and Phulwarisharif MLA Shyam Rajak at a function held at Patna Junction.Speaking on the occasion, Prasad said the new daily passenger train service would prove a boon for devotees visiting the famous Thawe temple in Gopalganj district. He added that the train would also improve connectivity for passengers travelling between several towns along the route.According to Danapur senior divisional commercial manager (DCM ) Abhinav Siddarth, the newly introduced train will run daily with a load composition of 24 coaches. It will have stoppages at Phulwarisharif, Patliputra Junction, Digha Bridge Halt, Dighwara and Goldenganj among other stations en route to Thawe. “The train will leave Patna at 12.10 pm and reach Thawe around 7 pm while on its return journey, it will leave Thawe at 8.05 pm and reach Patna early morning at 3.20 am.Senior railway officials present at the flag-off ceremony included Danapur ADRM Rajiv Kumar, senior DCM Abhinav Siddarth and divisional commercial manager Abhishekh Kumar Tiwary among others.
