Hyderabad: Spurred by its world-class infrastructure and talent availability, Hyderabad has emerged as a global hub for innovation and investment, not just for IT and electronics but also for sectors such as pharmaceuticals, aerospace and defence, IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu said during a meeting with a German delegation on Friday.He said the city’s development reflects Telangana’s broader push to attract international investment and strengthen advanced industries, and Germany’s technological expertise can help Telangana advance further, even in engineering sector.The visiting German delegation, which is in India to study industrial development across BRICS countries, investment-friendly ecosystems and the impact of advanced technologies, included representatives from Global Bridges, a global non-profit organisation.‘Stability for investors’During the meeting, Sridhar Babu outlined Telangana’s industrial opportunities and the incentives offered to global investors. He said the state adopted innovative policies to respond to rapid global changes and continues to provide uninterrupted power supply and reliable water access for industries.He said Telangana maintained progressive industrial policies regardless of political change, giving investors stability and confidence. He also highlighted Hyderabad’s central location, pleasant climate and cosmopolitan culture as factors that make it attractive to global businesses and professionals.The minister said the Future City project in south Hyderabad is advancing quickly, with AI City, Net Zero City and Young India Skills University expected to support long-term growth. He added that large-scale skilling and reskilling programmes are preparing professionals and graduates for global challenges.Sridhar Babu said semiconductor activity is gaining momentum, with firms from Taiwan and South Korea beginning work in chip design and manufacturing, while several global companies are planning data centres in Telangana.
