Srinagar, Mar 13: Students enrolled in the B.Ed Special Education course at Composite Regional Centre Srinagar have expressed concern over the delay in the declaration of their final-year results, saying the uncertainty is affecting their future plans.
The students said they joined the two-year programme in 2023 after an official notification invited applications. However, they claim the course faced repeated delays, and their results are still pending.
Several students said the delay has left them anxious as the results are necessary for applying to jobs and pursuing further academic opportunities.
“We enrolled in this course in 2023 with the hope of securing a better future. Now it is 2026 and our results are still not declared despite repeated requests,” a student said on condition of anonymity.
Students said the programme should normally be completed within two years, but delays have extended the process and caused academic as well as financial stress.
Some students from economically weaker backgrounds said they had borrowed money to pursue the course and now fear missing employment opportunities due to the delay.
“I took a loan for my education. I wanted to work in the field of disability education, but now we are stuck waiting without any clarity,” another student said.
The students have appealed to the authorities to declare the results at the earliest so that they can apply for jobs, especially as the academic session has already begun.
Meanwhile, officials from University of Kashmir told Rising Kashmir that the examinations for the course were completed in the last week of February and that the answer scripts are currently under evaluation.
They added that the results are expected to be declared within a week
