Koderma: A man and his son-in-law died in a road accident near Nagarkhara on Thursday at Koderma-Giridih main road under Koderma police station limit when the bike they were riding on collided with a gravel-laden truck.The deceased have been identified as 62-year-old Dineshwar Thakur, a resident of Nawalshahi, and his 35-year-old son-in-law, Sachin Thakur, a resident of Chilga village in Giridih district.The truck was travelling from Domchanch towards Koderma. The bike attempted to overtake the truck when it got stuck and became entangled in the truck’s undercarriage. The truck dragged the motorcycle and both riders for 100 meters.Police have seized the truck and taken both the driver and the assistant driver into custody. Police have sent the bodies to Sadar Hospital for a postmortem. A case has been registered and investigation is underway, said a police official.
