Jaipur: The Archery Association of India is organising an international-level ‘Tricurve Coach Change Seminar’ in Jaipur. This important training workshop is being held in collaboration with the Rajasthan Archery Association from March 11 to 16.At this six-day seminar, 40 archery coaches selected from across the country are being educated on modern techniques, international regulations, and advanced training methods.The workshop was inaugurated at a ceremony held at a hotel in Jaipur. Chief guest Dr Neeraj K. Pawan (Chairman, Rajasthan State Sports Council) inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.In his address, he emphasized that such technical seminars play a vital role in enhancing the knowledge and skills of coaches. He added that when coaches stay updated with modern techniques and new international regulations, our athletes will be able to perform better at the global level. He congratulated the organizers and said that such seminars should be held periodically in all sports.On this occasion, Gunjan Abrol (Administration Officer, Archery Association of India) while throwing light on the functioning of the organization said that the Archery Association of India organizes such training programs from time to time so that Indian archers and coaches can get international level information and training.Speaking at the event, Surendra Singh Gurjar (General Secretary, Rajasthan Archery Association) stated that this is the first time such a high-level coaching seminar is being held in Rajasthan, with selected coaches from across the country participating. He said that this training program will provide coaches with detailed information on new techniques and scientific training methods.The highlight of this seminar is that international coach Yusuf from Turkey, who is also the Chairman of the World Archery Coaches Committee, is providing specialized training to Indian coaches. Under his guidance, coaches are being provided with advanced recurve archery techniques, scientific training methods, and valuable information related to international competitions.In the programme, Deependra Singh (President, Rajasthan Archery Association) welcomed the trainers from all over the country as a special guest and said that Rajasthan is continuously playing a leading role in the development of sports and organizing training programs and such national and international events will continue to be held in the state in future also.On this occasion, Rajasthan Athletics Association Secretary Devnarayan Gurjar, Rajasthan Archery Selection Committee Chairman Anil Joshi, Rajasthan Cycling Association representative O.P. Vishwakarma, officials of various sports associations and sports lovers were present in large numbers.Four leading archery coaches from Rajasthan are also participating in this seminar, receiving advanced training at an international level. The organizing committee believes that such training programs will enhance the coaches’ capabilities and will have a positive impact on the future performance of Indian archers.
