Prayagraj: The Allahabad high court on Wednesday adjourned till March 25 the hearing on a petition challenging a Sambhal court’s order rejecting an application seeking the registration of an FIR against Rahul Gandhi for his statement in 2025 that his fight is against RSS, BJP and the Indian state.The petitioner — Simran Gupta— said the remarks hurt public sentiments and amounts to sedition and made deliberately with the intent to destabilise the country. Justice Samit Gopal adjourned the hearing on the request of petitioner’s counsel. Earlier, the court in its order dated Feb 11 had observed: “The counsel for the petitioner states that he wants to file supplementary affidavit and prays for two weeks’ time for the same. Prayer is allowed. If any such supplementary affidavit is filed, the office shall restore the same and place it on record by the next date. Let the matter be listed on March 11, 2026 as fresh. It is made clear that there is no interim order passed by this court.” tnn
