Jaipur: Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education said Wednesday it will hold Class 10 board exams twice a year from 2027, with the first exam in Feb and the second in May.The announcement came after the Class 12 board exams for the current academic session concluded. Addressing the media, RBSE secretary Gajendra Singh Rathore said Class 10 results would be declared first this year and are expected by March 20.“A proposal regarding conducting board exams twice from 2027 has been forwarded to the state govt for approval. This year, board examinations were conducted from Feb 12 to March 11. Throughout the examination period, strict measures were implemented to curb cheating, and disciplinary action was taken against instances of negligence,” said Rathore.This year, the board set up 66 collection centres across the state to gather answer sheets, along with centralised evaluation centres.“Currently, 30,915 teachers are engaged in the task of evaluating the answer sheets. The Board aims to complete all necessary procedures and declare the examination results by March 20,” said the secretary.Officials said transparency and discipline during the exams were maintained through continuous surveillance by joint flying squads made up of Board and education department members. Inspection teams led by around 150 Joint Directors and District Education Officers remained active throughout the exam process.At the Board level, 27 special flying squads were formed. Officials said these teams visited examination centres on the basis of complaints to ensure quick action.“A state-of-the-art Central Examination Control Room was established, which remained operational 24 hours a day, including on all holidays, from the period preceding the commencement of exams until their conclusion. From the control room, continuous monitoring of information received from exam centres and CCTV feeds was conducted using large display screens and approximately 30 laptops,” added the secretary.
